Old American Zinc Award

KEMRON Environmental Services was recently awarded a $21M project for consolidating nearly 800K CY of slag/source material into a 35-acre on-site containment cell at the Old American Zinc Plant in Fairmont City, Illinois.

We are excited to work for USACE St. Louis District under our PRAC contract. Special thanks to Tom Thrower and Terry Lemasters for leading the proposal effort.

 

$55M Award for Velsicol Superfund Site

KEMRON-Arrowhead JV was awarded the Velsicol Superfund Site Remedial Action Task Order in May 2023, and the $55M award represents a continuation of KEMRON’s work at this highly complex site.

With over 200,000 drums of solvents and pesticides buried in unlined trenches, the selected remedy of vapor extraction and treatment is expected to operate for 12 years.

KEMRON awarded installation of Phase 1B of Closure Turf at the Mississippi Phosphate Corporation

KEMRON is pleased to announce we have been awarded a contract for installation of Phase 1B of Closure Turf at the Mississippi Phosphate Corporation (MPC) Superfund Site. The award from USEPA Region 4 was under a full and open procurement and is our second such award for installation of this innovative closure fabric. MPC is a former diammonium phosphate (DAP) fertilizer manufacturing facility in Pascagoula, MS.

New Hire – Joseph A. Klemp, P.G.

We are pleased to announce that Joseph A. Klemp, P.G. has joined KEMRON as a Senior Project Scientist. He will be joining KEMRON’s consulting services group supporting the continued expansion of our nationwide service offerings. KEMRON, a small business in the environmental remediation market, provides a nationwide resume of support to the federal government and private industry providing expertise under both RCRA and CERCLA. As a Senior Project Scientist, Mr. Klemp will be supporting Performance Based, Cost Reimbursable and Fixed Price contracting proposal development for commercial, municipal and Federal proposals, as well as technical and management support on US Army, USACE, Navy, and other Federal initiatives.
