Geotechnical Testing

KEMRON maintains a materials testing laboratory for physical and geotechnical evaluations of a wide range of material types, including soils, sludges and sediments.  KEMRON has designed our geotechnical laboratory specifically to test hazardous or non-traditional materials.  We have the expertise to apply traditional testing methods to non-traditional materials, such as sludges, process wastes, tarry and oily materials, and other low-solids or contaminated materials. While KEMRON specializes in specialty geotechnical testing, many of our clients utilize us for the full range of traditional or standard testing methodologies.

KEMRON's material testing staff is fully trained to handle any material that requires testing.  All of our employees, from technician to laboratory manager, are OSHA 40-hour trained and medically monitored.  In addition, they all have field experience and years of lab expertise at testing hazardous materials.  This experience sets KEMRON apart from traditional geotechnical laboratories.

KEMRON conducts all testing in accordance with protocols established by the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Association of State Highway andTransportation Officials (AASHTO), the USEPA, the American Nuclear Society, and the US Army Corps of Engineers.  In general, the test methods associated with hazardous waste evaluations were developed for soil-like materials, and as such, are not always applicable for waste-like materials.  KEMRON's personnel have the expertise and the experience necessary to develop testing programs for evaluation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials that provide our clients with reliable material characterizations.
