Caney Residential Yards Superfund Award

We are excited to announce that our Joint Venture, Leisnoi Professional Services KEMRON Joint Venture, LLC, was awarded the remedial action of the OU1 Residential Soils Remediation at Caney Residential Yards Superfund Site in Caney, KS. 

This $16.8M award for three years includes the removal of lead-contaminated waste from approximately 500 residences. We are excited to start work on our latest award with EPA Region 7. We are committed to ensuring a safe environment for the affected communities.

American Nuclear Corporation Award

EPA Region 4 awarded KEMRON Environmental Services a $4.6M task order for the cleanup of the American Nuclear Corporation Superfund Site in Claxton, TN. 

KEMRON will profile the waste streams for disposal and/or treatment, excavate contaminated soils on site, and remove irradiated contamination from buildings and structures on site.

Old American Zinc Award

KEMRON Environmental Services was recently awarded a $21M project for consolidating nearly 800K CY of slag/source material into a 35-acre on-site containment cell at the Old American Zinc Plant in Fairmont City, Illinois.

We're proud ot announce that KEMRON was awarded a $4.4M abatement/demolition project at the former Cristex Drum Superfund site in Oxford, NC under our EPA Region 4 ERRS contract in July 2023.

The scope also includes the excavation and disposal of 20,000 CY of contaminated soils.

$55M Award for Velsicol Superfund Site

KEMRON-Arrowhead JV was awarded the Velsicol Superfund Site Remedial Action Task Order in May 2023, and the $55M award represents a continuation of KEMRON’s work at this highly complex site.

With over 200,000 drums of solvents and pesticides buried in unlined trenches, the selected remedy of vapor extraction and treatment is expected to operate for 12 years.

2 New Task Orders through EPA Region 2 – New Jersey and New York

KEMRON Environmental Services was awarded two new task orders in March 2023 through EPA Region 2 under our Emergency and Rapid Response Services Contract.

The first order is for the cleanup at Compounders Inc. in New Jersey where a fire occurred leaving damaged drums, containers and other waste. At this point, KEMRON is providing security to safeguard the site and is assisting the EPA to develop a strategy to safely handle and address the drums of waste and their contents.

The second task order is for the cleanup of the Arsenic Waste site in New York, which includes the demolition of five residences including all ancillary tanks, piping, systems, etc.

Two New USACE Contracts – Louisville & Kansas City

The Leisnoi Diversified-KEMRON 8a JV was awarded two new USACE contracts in February 2023.

The first award was a $4.5M SATOC for environmental remediation services with the USACE Louisville District.

The second award was a remediation project at the Horseshoe Road Superfund Site for the USACE Kansas City District.

Deptford Plating Site – EERS Contract Removing 575 Containers

KEMRON was awarded a project to package and remove approximately 575 containers of various sizes including lab packs, drums and vats from the Deptford Plating Site in Deptford, NJ under our EPA Region 2 ERRS contract.

Many of the containers are filled with hazardous substances associated with the plating wastes which included, acids, bases, cyanide, hexavalent chromium, cadmium, silver, lead, and various other metals.
