$55M Award for Velsicol Superfund Site

KEMRON-Arrowhead JV was awarded the Velsicol Superfund Site Remedial Action Task Order in May 2023, and the $55M award represents a continuation of KEMRON’s work at this highly complex site.

With over 200,000 drums of solvents and pesticides buried in unlined trenches, the selected remedy of vapor extraction and treatment is expected to operate for 12 years.

2 New Task Orders through EPA Region 2 – New Jersey and New York

KEMRON Environmental Services was awarded two new task orders in March 2023 through EPA Region 2 under our Emergency and Rapid Response Services Contract.

The first order is for the cleanup at Compounders Inc. in New Jersey where a fire occurred leaving damaged drums, containers and other waste. At this point, KEMRON is providing security to safeguard the site and is assisting the EPA to develop a strategy to safely handle and address the drums of waste and their contents.

The second task order is for the cleanup of the Arsenic Waste site in New York, which includes the demolition of five residences including all ancillary tanks, piping, systems, etc.

Deptford Plating Site – EERS Contract Removing 575 Containers

KEMRON was awarded a project to package and remove approximately 575 containers of various sizes including lab packs, drums and vats from the Deptford Plating Site in Deptford, NJ under our EPA Region 2 ERRS contract.

Many of the containers are filled with hazardous substances associated with the plating wastes which included, acids, bases, cyanide, hexavalent chromium, cadmium, silver, lead, and various other metals.
