KEMRON Environmental Services, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Senior Engineer with a concentration in chemical or environmental engineering for our Midwest operations. Candidate must possess a minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering and at least 10 years of professional experience to include management of large multi-million dollar CERCLA/RCRA investigation/remediation projects. Professional registration or the ability to obtain professional registration is a must. Must have demonstrably strong written and verbal communication skills to include concise report writing. Environmental Laborer/Technician - Mississippi

KEMRON Environmental Services is seeking an Environmental Laborer/Technician for overall environmental remediation work for a temporary position on a project in Mississippi. The duties may include the following: Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in environmental remediation construction projects; perform manual work in remediation of contaminated sites; Shovel contaminated material from around structures or areas unreachable by heavy equipment; Fine grade fill to grades given by foreman, supervisor or project manager; Clear and grub areas, Operate chain saw safely, fall trees safely, operate chipper as required; Excavate and fill trenches and ditches; Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards; Material handling and storage; Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials; and Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Work may involve activities on contaminated sites and may include hazardous wastes and/or chemicals, as well as heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs. A minimum of one year of environmental remediation work experience required and experience around heavy equipment preferred. Required training includes current OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER. 10-hour OSHA construction training a plus. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Senior Project Manager – Atlanta, GA

KEMRON Environmental Services, Inc. has immediate full-time openings for Response Managers on Emergency Response projects. Candidates must have at least 10 years of direct on-scene response experience in the clean-up of hazardous substances, oil and other contaminants or pollutants at a site, to include the development of site safety plans, heavy equipment operation and field construction, or other discipline directly related to the requirements of the contract. One (3) years of the 10 years must be in a capacity of site project manager, managing and supervising multi-disciplinary response personnel and subcontractors. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, i.e., physical, chemical or biological science, engineering, or construction management from an accredited college or university is a plus. Five (5) years of direct on-scene response experience in the clean-up of hazardous substances, oil and other contaminants or pollutants at a site, to include the development of site safety plans, AHAs, understanding heavy equipment operation and field construction, management of construction including concrete and vertical construction a plus.

IN ADDITION, Candidates must also have the following:
  • Three (3) years’ experience as a supervisory responder for emergency response actions involving hazardous substances, oil and other contaminants or pollutants at a site. Includes having experience in oil, petroleum, and hazardous substance disposal regulations, including, at a minimum but not limited to, correctly completing hazardous waste manifests; experience in applying analytical information required for waste profiling, profile preparation and assignment of wastes into their proper regulatory classifications; experience in hazardous materials transportation regulations.
  • Experience in identification and labeling of proper shipping containers, determining correct shipping labels and hazardous waste marks on containers, assign hazard class, group and proper shipping name to the wastes; experience in determining placarding needs for hazardous materials transportation in accordance with US DOT regulations.
  • Experience in preparing written technical reports covering all aspects of removal operations, including but not limited to, hazardous evaluation, waste profiling, transportation and disposal, data evaluation, and day-to-day summary of site operations; experience managing and insuring proper execution of multiple simultaneous subcontracts of varying type and complexity.
  • Experience serving as contractor point-of-contact with subcontractors; experience negotiating and resolving subcontractor disputes; experience with site cost management systems used to track and document site costs on a daily basis.
  • Experience preparing daily cost reports; experience analyzing OSHA health and safety regulations regarding hazardous waste site and general construction site operations; experience preparing and modifying site specific health and safety plans in accordance with EPA and OSHA regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience serving as a site safety officer including in the application of theory of operation, calibration and use of field screening instrumentation such as organic vapor analyzers, combustible gas indicators, toxic gas meters, portable gas chromatographs, pH/Conductivity meters, and radiation monitors to measure the presence of chemical, explosive and radiological hazards at cleanup sites and experience interpreting data and evaluating hazards from survey results.
  • Experience with QAQC of projects. US Army Corp of Engineers QCM certification a plus.

Cost Estimator – Atlanta, GA

KEMRON Environmental Services, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Cost Estimator in our Atlanta, GA operation to accurately prepare cost estimates for Environmental Remediation contract bids. Position is responsible for preparing takeoffs, determining project tasks, obtaining current and accurate information on prices and design options, as well as recommending best value solutions. Additional assignments may include project management, project budget preparation and technical writing. Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in the commercial construction field to include environmental remediation project estimating, reviewing proposals/blueprints/specifications, determining scope of work and required contents of estimates. KEMRON Environmental Services is seeking an Environmental Technician/Wastewater Treatment Plan (WWTP) Operator in our Poca, WV office. Duties include municipal WWTP O&M, remedial system install, O&M, field sampling, and equipment maintenance. Plumbing/electrical experience preferred. Will involve activities on contaminated sites and may include hazardous wastes and/or chemicals. Travel and PPE use required. Overtime may be required. Proposal Coordinator – Full-time – Atlanta, GA

KEMRON Environmental Services, Inc. is seeking a dynamic individual to work full-time for our Marketing and Proposal Group. You will work with the Proposal Manager and proposal teams to coordinate resources in the planning, development and completion of assigned proposal tasks, including the development of plans for proposal preparation, proposal outlines, schedules, assignments, and graphics. Must have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working with proposal management and business development, preferably with a government contractor. A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in English or Communications. You must possess strong organizational, grammar, proofreading and spelling skills as well as have an excellent command of Microsoft applications. Your experience must include reading and analyzing RFPs and RFQs for applicability to the business and have success with writing for proposals and meeting deadlines. You will average 40 hours per week; hours and days may be flexible but busy proposal times may require additional, possibly longer hours.
